In Defense of the Freaks

Recently, in a conversation I was having, it was suggested that I should not use the term, "Jesus Freak" in referring to myself, due to the negative definition of the word "freak."  There was a time when I would have responded with sarcasm and pride, but praise God!  Through Jesus Messiah I am being changed!  As I have learned to do, I simply responded, "OK," with a smile.  That got me to thinking perhaps I needed to do a little investigating the word for myself (again).  The following definitions are from

 Freak (freek)

* any abnormal phenomenon or product or unusual object.
